Bookkeeping & Management Reporting

Maintained ledgers and a monthly or quarterly reporting pack built around the handful of figures that actually drive your decisions.

The context

Most reporting packs are longer than they are useful. We build a short one: the movements that change a decision, presented the same way every period so that trends are visible rather than reconstructed.

Typical scope

  • 01Maintenance of purchase, sales and nominal ledgers
  • 02Bank and control account reconciliation on a fixed cycle
  • 03Periodic management accounts with commentary
  • 04Cash position and working-capital reporting
  • 05Year-end handover in a form ready for statutory preparation

How the engagement runs

  1. 01

    Baseline

We take on the existing records and reconcile the opening position before assuming the cycle.

  2. 02

    Cycle design

We agree what is reported, to whom and on what date each period.

  3. 03

    Running the cycle

Records are maintained and the pack is issued to the agreed timetable.

  4. 04

    Review

The pack is revisited periodically so it keeps pace with how the business is run.

Commonly needed to begin

  • Access to your existing accounting records
  • Bank feeds or statements for the relevant accounts
  • Details of recurring supplier and customer arrangements
  • The decisions you currently struggle to make with the numbers you have

This is a general indication only; the exact information required depends on the engagement. Sensitive documents are exchanged through arrangements agreed with you, never through this website.
