This website is built to be usable by as many people as possible, whatever technology they use to read it.
The standard we aim at
We design and build against the principles of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at level AA. We do not claim formal certification; we describe below the specific measures implemented and invite you to tell us where they fall short.
What is implemented
Across the site:
- Semantic landmarks and a single, logical heading order on every page
- A skip link to the main content, revealed on keyboard focus
- Full keyboard operability, including the navigation panel and mobile menu
- A visible focus indicator on every interactive element
- Text and interface colours chosen for contrast against the page background
- Form fields with associated labels, described errors and programmatic error states
- Descriptive alternative text on photography, and decorative graphics hidden from assistive technology
- Reduced-motion support: animation and transitions are suppressed when your system requests it
- Layouts that reflow without horizontal scrolling at increased zoom levels
Known limitations
The enquiry form hands off to your own email application to send a message. If you use a device without a configured email application, use the address shown alongside the form instead.
Reporting a barrier
If any part of this website prevents you from finding information or contacting the practice, tell us what happened, the page involved and the technology you were using. We will respond and, where the fix is within our control, correct it. Halvorsen Meade treats accessibility as part of the quality of the work rather than an optional extra.
